Let us introduce you to some of the pros we have lined up for this November's conference:

Julie Yack (Conference Chair) - Julie Yack is one of the founding partners of Colorado Technology Consultants, Inc. and currently serves as the company’s Chief Operations Officer. Julie is a Microsoft CRM Certified Professional, Microsoft Small Business Specialist and a Certified Scrum Master. Julie received her Bachelor’s of Science from the University of Phoenix. Julie has been a vital part to the publishing efforts of three books published in 2008. She was the technical editor on The IT Girl’s Guide to Becoming an Excel Diva; primary editor and publisher for (x)CRM as a Rapid Development Platform; and a contributing author for Voices for Change: Women’s Words for Politicians. Julie is one of the founders of SouthColorado.NET, a user group focused on improving the knowledge base of .NET developers. Julie currently serves as the INETA membership mentor for a 4-state region and strives to help the developer community wherever possible. She is a member of The Pikes Peak Business and Professional Women’s Organization and serves on the membership committee for the National BPW organization. Julie is also a quarterly contributor to the Colorado Business Leaders Confidence Index, providing forecast and economic trend information for Colorado businesses. As a member of the Technology Committees at Challenger Middle School and Pine Creek High School in Colorado Springs, Julie offers insight to help guide the technology education of our future workforce. Kathleen Dollard - Kathleen Dollard is a consultant, author, trainer, and speaker. She’s been a Microsoft MVP for over ten years and has spoken about .NET in 28 states and 5 countries. She’s written dozens of articles including the “Ask Kathleen” column in Visual Studio Magazine. She also wrote “Code Generation in Microsoft .NET” (Apress). Her passion is helping programmers be smarter in how they develop by learning to better use .NET languages, libraries and platforms. She works with WPF, WF, as well as core technologies including System.AddIn. She’s currently creating template infrastructure for code generation using VB XML literals. After working on the problem of capturing business intent in metadata and test definitions for years, she’s working with industry improvements in these areas. She’s also working on full life cycle improvements, such as unit testing, better debugging and static analysis (FxCop). When not working, she enjoys woodworking, snowshoeing, and kayaking depending on the outdoor temperature.

Scott Golightly - Scott Golightly is currently an Enterprise Solution Strategist with Advaiya, Inc. Scott is also a Microsoft Regional Director. He has over 15 years experience helping clients to create solutions to business problems with various technologies. Scott has held many certifications including Certified PowerBuilder Developer, MCP, MCSD, and MCT. When he is not working with computers Scott enjoys being with his family and being in the outdoors.
Tim Heuer - Tim Heuer is a program manager for Microsoft Silverlight. He helps build the worldwide Silverlight community and is very passionate about the platform and technology in general. Having over 13 years of experience with Microsoft web technologies, Tim is excited about the opportunities that Silverlight brings for developers and designers and wants to ensure that everyone has the best information and tools available to them for success.

Ben Hoelting - Ben Hoelting: Software Developer, Colorado Technology Consultants, Inc. Graduated from Colorado State University in 1997 with a BS in Computer Information Systems and a Minor in Computer Science. Been in the IT industry since 1996. Worked for the Gates Corporation (formally the Gates Rubber Company) from 2000 - 2005. Left Gates to pursue a consulting career. Currently works for Colorado Technology Consultants, Inc. in Colorado Springs. Most recent projects include a Windows forms Smart Client that requires offline support, an ASP.Net tracking system for the floral industry and Microsoft CRM customizations using ASP.Net. Ben is also a MCP, certified in both CRM Customizations and .NET Framework Application Development.

Rob Bagby - Rob Bagby is a Developer Evangelist for Microsoft. Rob works with customers, as well as delivers presentations at numerous regional and national conferences, to illustrate how to take advantage of Microsoft’s developer technologies to deliver performant and secure applications faster. Rob bases his discussions on over 10 years of consulting experience, along with a Masters Degree in International Business from Thunderbird.

Dr. Neil Roodyn - Neil’s passion for software started in the 1970’s when he taught himself BASIC and 6502 Assembler. During the 1980’s Neil was involved in various software projects on a variety of platforms including IBM 390, Commodore PET, Apple MAC, IBM PC (DOS) and AS400. The 1990’s brought some big changes to Neil’s career; Neil received a first class honours degree in Computer Science, started the first (of many) software companies and began teaching software development, initially in academia and then commercially. During the early 1990’s Neil worked on a number of different real-time software systems. The work he did on these systems, combined with other research into real-time systems led to a thesis entitled “Software Architectures for Distributed Real-Time Systems”. Neil was awarded a PhD for this thesis from University College London and the brand of Dr. Neil was born. Since 1995 Dr. Neil has been involved in the formation of many software companies, his roles varying from mentoring through to directorship. Dr. Neil keeps a very active involvement in the software being produced and delivered today, and provides feedback to both large and small companies on how to increase the value of their software business. Dr. Neil is currently awarded as a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional and Regional Director for Microsoft Australia. Dr. Neil’s latest enterprise is a global software business called nsquared which builds mobile software for learning and living.When Dr. Neil is not working on software he likes to get out in the great outdoors and go hiking and climbing in the mountains or swimming and surfing at the beach.

Tim Huckaby - Tim Huckaby is CEO of InterKnowlogy - a software, infrastructure and network engineering firm dedicated to system and application architecture, software design, development, deployment and network engineering. As Lead Technical Architect, Software Development Lead, Microsoft Regional Director, writer, speaker, Microsoft .NET Partner Advisory Council member, and International .NET Association speaker, Tim has over 20 years of industry experience. Tim is one of the rare technologists whose expertise spans developer, system, network and infrastructure areas.Tim is one of the very first Microsoft Certified Professionals, number 645, attaining his first certifications in 1991. Tim has written a number of published books, magazine articles, commentaries and editorials.Tim has been awarded multiple times for the highest rated Keynote and technical presentations for Microsoft Developer Days, Microsoft Tech Ed and numerous other technology conferences held around the world. For years, Tim has done presentations on Microsoft Technologies at technology conferences all over the world and is consistently rated in the top 10% of all speakers.

Chris Sutton - Chris Sutton is a consultant and technical trainer in Eastern Iowa and has been working with ASP.Net since the .NET November beta in 2002. He helps facilitate CRineta.org, the Ineta group in Cedar Rapids, IA and holds the MCPD:Enterprise certification. He has been consulting and speaking on the ASP.NET MVC Framework since the beginning of the year and loves developing for the web. Getting to spend time with his wife and kids makes his tech work worthwhile. He also enjoys hiking and biking in the summer and snowshoeing in the winter.

Rachel Appel - Rachel Appel lives in Northeastern Pennsylvania and is the senior technology consultant at Appel Consulting. Rachel is an MVP and a member of ASPInsiders,
and holds the MCT MCAD & MCSD certifications. She has been working as an instructor, software developer, architect and DBA for a wide variety of organizations. She is the Vice President and a regular speaker of the .NetValley user group, as well as an active member in other user groups of Pennsylvania. David Yack - David Yack is the CTO of Colorado Technology Consultants, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner based in Colorado. As a senior hands’ on technology and business consultant with over 18 years of industry experience, David enjoys developing applications for the Microsoft platforms, specializing in large system architecture , design and integration. David embraced .NET during the final beta days of version 1.0 and has been helping clients migrate and build new applications on the technology, as well as helping to mentor and train their staffs.David is a Microsoft Regional Director and is also a Microsoft MVP for ASP.NET. David is a frequent speaker at user group and industry events and is co-author of two NET 2.0 related books. David founded and is on the leadership team for the South Colorado .NET User Group and lives in Colorado Springs with his wife and two kids.
