Exchange Online: What You Need to Know

Join Windows IT Pro for Exchange Online: What You Need to Know, a free online one-day conference.

Microsoft is betting big on the cloud—CEO Steve Ballmer’s catchphrase, “We’re all in,” reflects Microsoft’s emphasis on delivering Office 365, Azure, and other cloud-based services. With the advent of Microsoft-hosted Exchange, there are some things you need to know about management and maintenance of Exchange in cloud and hybrid environments. This event will cover some fundamental aspects of cloud-based services to help you decide whether, when, and how to evaluate, and potentially move to, Exchange Online. You’ll learn about:

  • Hybrid-Mode Administration in Exchange Online

What can you do, and what can you not do, with mixed on-premises/Office 365 deployments? Multi-mailbox search, federation, RBAC, and a host of other features work differently in hybrid environments. In his session, we’ll show you what’s different to help you manage your environment as efficiently as possible.

  • Data In, Data Out

In this session, we’ll cover the tools and strategies you need to efficiently migrate your mail into a cloud environment, and how to get it out again if you want to move back on-premises.

  • Exchange Online Security

When you use a hosted service, you’re betting that the service’s security controls and management are better than yours—but how do you know? In this session, you’ll learn how to keep your mail, and related data, secure when you’re operating in the cloud or in a hybrid cloud/on-premises environment.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask live questions via our platform’s interface, chat with other attendees in the Networking Lounge, and chat directly with vendors in the Exhibit Hall.

Can’t make it on November 29th? This conference will be available on-demand to registrants for three months following the event.
