In this session, BA Insight will discuss some of the common mistakes organizations make when deploying search solutions on top of SharePoint Search, or FAST Search for SharePoint and how to avoid them. These include:
  • Providing users with an Internet Search interface to search enterprise content.
  • Assuming the search engine will provide “Google like” relevance without tuning the ranking algorithm.
  • Failing to include Line of Business system data in the scope of the search initiative.
The session will also include a demonstration BA Insight’s Longitude, a technology that extends the search capabilities of FAST and SharePoint Search.
