PRIVACY POLICY
We Do Not SPAM, or Send Unsolicited Emails, nor do we share your email with ANYONE
unless you ask us to.
vConferenceOnline.com has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment
to privacy. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination
practices for our network of sites.
We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer
our Web site. Your IP address is used to help identify you and your shopping cart
and to gather broad demographic information.
Our site uses cookies to keep track of your shopping cart and to make sure you don't
see the same ad repeatedly. We use cookies to deliver content specific to your interests
and to save your password so you don't have to re-enter it each time you visit our
site.
Our site's registration form requires users to give us contact information (like
their name and email address) and unique identifiers. We use customer contact information
from the registration form to send the user information about our company. The customer's
contact information is also used to contact the visitor when necessary. Users may
opt-out of receiving future mailings; see the choice/opt-out section below. Unique
identifiers may be collected to verify the user's identity and for use as account
numbers in our record system (never without the user's knowledge).
Your information is shared with the sponsor(s) of a given program, event (virtual
conference), show, whitepaper or other item that you request, if that item is a
sponsored item. Your information will be provided ONLY to the sponsor of that particular
item that you have opted to participate with, NOT on any wholesale, blind basis,
ever. Period. We use icons, notices and/or registration pages to make sure you're
aware of any and all items that are sponsored content. In some cases, you have the
ability to "auto-register" after filling out and submitting an initial form. If
you select this option, you will not be presented with additional registration forms,
but you will still receive the notification of what is sponsored, what is not in
the form of notices and/or icons. By providing your permission to do so, you are,
in these cases, able to opt-in without a specific, particular registration form.
Our site uses an order form for customers to request information, products, and
services. We may collect visitor's contact information (like their email address),
unique identifiers, and financial information (like their account or credit card
numbers). Contact information from the order form is used to send order confirmations
and to communicate with customers regarding their purchase from, and use of, this
site. Users may opt-out of receiving future mailings; see the choice/opt-out section
below. Financial information that is collected is used to bill the user for products
and services. Unique identifiers are collected from Web site visitors to verify
the user's identity and for use as account numbers in our record system.
Demographic and profile data is also collected at our site. We use this data to
tailor our visitor's experience at our site, showing them content that we think
they might be interested in, and displaying the content according to their preferences.
This information is shared with advertisers on an aggregate basis ONLY.
We run contests on our site in which we ask visitors for contact information (like
their email address) and unique identifiers. The customer's contact information
is used to contact the visitor when necessary. Users may opt-out of receiving future
mailings; see the choice/opt-out section below. Unique identifiers are collected
from Web site visitors to verify the user's identity and for use as account numbers
in our record system.
Some ads are served onto our site/network of sites by third-party services, the
most often-used are Google. To visit their privacy statement, get information about services they provided and information
collected, please see: Google.
We protect your payment instrument information by fully encrypting the data by applying
a 768-bit key. In addition, our servers are located behind firewalls and inaccessible
to the Internet by privatization and port controls. Access to the decryption process
is limited to a very select few individuals working for vConferenceOnline.com with a need to know
the payment instrument information. This access is protected by further-passworded
access to administrative portions of the membership software application which controls
the encrypted data.
You can access, review and/or correct all your personally identifiable information
that we collect online and maintain by going to your
Account Settings Page (http://vConferenceOnline.com). We use this procedure
to better safeguard your information. You can correct factual errors in your personally
identifiable information by using the online forms available at that URL, or by
sending us a request that credibly shows error. To protect your privacy and security,
we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access
or making corrections.
