Michael Sullivan Mee, O.D., F.A.A.O.

Diplomate (Glaucoma)

Dr. Michael Sullivan-Mee, the current Chief of Optometry at the Albuquerque VA Medical Center, earned his clinical diplomate credential from the American Academy of Optometry (AAO) in 2006. He serves as the glaucoma diplomate chair for the AAO Glaucoma Section, and he is also a member of the AAO’s scientific program committee. He directs an active clinical research program at his facility, and he has published numerous original several research papers in the field of glaucoma, including publications in journals such as the American Journal of Ophthalmology, Investigative Ophthalmology and Vision Science, and Optometry and Vision Science. He holds adjunct faculty appointments at several academic institutions including the University of Houston College of Optometry and the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. He was a prior full-time faculty member at both SUNY College of Optometry and Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry.
