Agribusiness Technical Manager, Silver Fern Farms
A key part of Melissa’s job is engaging with Silver Fern Farms’ suppliers to raise awareness of the importance of Eating Quality (EQ) and how it relates to a consumer’s purchasing decision. Melissa has also been involved in implementing several strategic projects in the red meat industry, the Beef + Lamb Genetics Beef Progeny Test, and is on the advisory board for a B+LNZ Beef Innovation Farm in Southland. Melissa recently returned from leading an in-market Farmer Tour to North America, where the group gained insights to the future of this market. Melissa has a Bachelor of Agricultural Science (Honours) from Lincoln University.
