Richard Madonna, OD, FAAO

Dr. Richard J. Madonna is Professor and Chair of the Department of Clinical Education and Director of the Office of Continuing Professional Education at the SUNY College of Optometry. Clinically, his practice at the College’s University Eye Center is limited to glaucoma. He lectures nationally and internationally on glaucoma and ophthalmic imaging. Among many professional activities, he currently serves as Vice President of the Optometric Glaucoma Society. He has received a number of awards, most recently the American Academy of Optometry’s 2017 Vincent Ellerbrock Clinician-Educator Award. Dr. Madonna was formerly Director of the Optometric Residency Program at the VA Hudson Valley Health Care System and Chief of the Optometry Section at the VA Medical Center in Castle Point, New York.
