Dirk deRoos, B.Sc., B.A., is IBM’s World-Wide Technical Sales Leader for Big Data technologies. Dirk has spent the past five years helping customers build Big Data solutions and has co-authored four books on this subject area, most recently: Big Data Beyond the Hype (McGraw-Hill, 2014) and Hadoop for Dummies (Wiley, 2014). Dirk has earned two degrees from the University of New Brunswick in Canada: a Bachelor of Computer Science, and a Bachelor of Arts (Honors English).
